High Blood Pressure And Memory Loss
I came across a post today at smart-kit.com that addresses one of the effects of high blood pressure that is not talked about that much. It's memory loss.
The most severe effects of of high blood pressure are stroke, heart attack, or kidney failure; however, high blood pressure also cause other, sometimes subtle, negative effects on the body.
According to the post at smart-kit.com, researchers from the Veterans Affairs Boston Health Care System found that healthy men whose blood pressure exceeded 140/90 for at least 3 years performed worse on tests of memory function, and verbal ability. This is just one more reason why, if you have high blood pressure, it's important that you adopt as many ways as possible to lower it, and maintain it that way.
On a side note, Smart-kit.com has a lot of valuable information about memory loss. You can also find some great, and fun exercises to help keep your brain working sharp.
